Simone Grim wins the CoreNet Benelux Student Award with her thesis: “Can the building get in the way of learning”
On Wednesday the 10th of May, the CoreNet Benelux Student Award 2017 took place at the beautiful location SS Rotterdam. The CoreNet Student Award is presented annually to the most innovative thesis in the field of Corporate Real Estate, Facility Management and Workplace Innovation. Theses from Bachelor, Masters and Postgraduate levela, from colleges and universities throughout the Netherlands competed for a nomination and were judged by an expert jury. Our facility student Simone Grim from the NHTV Academy of Hotel Management and Facility Management took part in this competition and won the bachelor thesis award on her thesis subject “Can the building get in the way of learning?”
Next to the fact that the award is an excellent addition to her CV Simone will be invited to attend the CoreNet Global European Summit 2017 in London (including summit entry, travel and two nights hotel accommodation).
Claudia Vermeulen wins the EuroFM award with ‘People-Centric Roadmap’
During the European Facility Management Conference in Madrid (25-28 April 2017) our Facility Management student Claudia Vermeulen (second from the right) won the EuroFM European Student Competition.
Facility Management students Claudia Vermeulen and Nanette Bijleveld were selected by a jury and got the chance to present themselves at the conference. They handed in a 3-minute film clip for the Student Poster Competition.
Claudia was honoured to be one of the nominees and proud that she won the competition. Her submission presented research findings based on her graduation project ‘People-Centric Roadmap’, developed for the Workplace Strategy departement of the Dutch company JLL. Watch the video submission here.
By winning this competition Claudia Vermeulen has also gained access to the World Work Place conference and expo in Houston, organised by the International Facility Management Association. She also won up till € 1.000 to cover travel and accommodation expenses and $ 250 pocket money.
